Dear Collegues:

One of the most delicate mandatory process, according to the 7600 Law, is the formulation of a pedagogic instrument, that serves as a guide of contents, methodologies and goals to facilitate learning, to all those students who, because of different reasons, need to adequate to their competence level, the formal program or syllabus. Ministry of Education calls this Instrument, “Programación Educativa Individual”.

It is not easy to design this instrument. It is necessary to follow certain steps and to cover different aspects to design a technical, valuable and applicable instrument, that fits and fulfill students particular learning needs, intellectual capabilities and give real support to the student´s learning process. Besides, its formulation becomes more difficult because MEP changes their guidelines and template of the instrument, and of course, this situation creates confusion.

This is the reason this Blog considers important to offer to you, a material to support the work of elaborating a PEI (Programación Educativa Individual) instrument. I hope this material can offer you some guidance and ease the work when dealing with significant accommodation learning situations.
