 A virtual instrument for professional development

This website could be useful to my professional development because it allows me to collect and organize by myself, pages like boards with specific content based on topics I am interest on. According to the description that is given in this web site, it also allows the professionals to share their own opinions and thoughts on the content posted in the Scoop-it page.

The contact with other professionals that are interested in the same field of knowledge or topic than me, can benefit myself because my own knowledge can be enriched by exchanging with different professionals that offer their own perspectives and sources. This way, I can keep updated in the field I am working on and keep on growing professionally.

The fact is that I learnt in this course that we are living in the Virtual era, and the most interesting, updated and useful information about my profession and the topics I am interested on, are found virtually. I can train myself in the new techniques and improve the way I teach. I also can research about any topic I want, and start producing my own message as an EFL teacher to the rest of the professional community. This researching, training and exchanging experience is one of the best ways to promote my own professional development. 

 All these reasons make that Scoop-it can become an ally to my professional growing, giving me a virtual space to walk on that path with other professionals similar than me.

How often is it possible to be benefit by the gift of learning to be able to use properly the difficult virtual tools? The experience was challenging… my classmates and I had to do an effort to complete the assigned tasks. Some of us finished soon, but some others took more time. The generation gap was evident during this learning experience. But it deserved the effort, the attention and the compromise.
